Daxxarri - Source - Free Name Change

I feel that I should probably mention that, if anyone is unsatisfied with the name they select with their free character name change, that the onus is upon them to pay the required fee and take the necessary steps to correct it.

StarCraft II Custom Map Contest Winners

The winners of the Blizzcon custom map contest have been announced as:

  • Benjamin Lagarhus - MAD
  • Ivan Vidusenko - Zergling Round-Up
  • Andreas Lundkvist - Photon Command

From the information gathered at Blizzcon this year, we believe these maps will be featured and playable in the near future.

Top 200

This weeks top 200 players are in for all 6 regions and NesTea is fighting for the Zerg, Terran are still looking strong but the overall representation of Zerg and Protoss is now neck and neck with only a 6 player difference.

Top 200: Week 13

This is the closest we've seen the global representation of all 3 races since the game was released.

Editor Q&A and Blizzard Comic Contest http://www.starcraftinfo.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=340#p340 Editor Q&A

Several new questions have been added to the official Editor Q&A thread answering more of your questions.

Official Comic Contest

The official Blizzard comic contest is back and now open to entries from all Blizzard franchises, World of Warcraft, Diablo and StarCraft.

Blizzard Entertainment - Source - Blizzard Comic Contest

If you've ever read the Sunday morning funny pages, then you already know what to do. Make a comic that will split our sides (a little artistic skill doesn't hurt either...) and you may be among one of three winners chosen every other month.

We'll display the winners proudly on our websites and send their creators a good-as-cash gift card. We're opening the contest up to all Blizzard Entertainment franchises, so you can now create a fun, silly, or interesting comic based on the themes and characters from the Warcraft, Diablo, or Starcraft universes to enter.

Check out the rules for more information.

Winners are chosen and posted every other month.

  • First place: $250 Visa Gift Card
  • Second place: $150 Visa Gift Card
  • Third place: $100 Visa Gift Card

StarCraft Costumes http://www.starcraftinfo.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=337#p337 At Blizzcon this year there weren't that many StarCraft costumes but don't worry, everyone loves dressing up and the StarCraft community is no different. Over the years we've seen a variety of different StarCraft costumes running around our streets and today we bring them to your eyes.

Kerrigian, Queen of Blades

Whilst the variety of units people choose to dress up as is fairly small, there is still a great range in costumes as people try to bring our favourite characters to life.

Marines

It's amazing to see how many different styles of Marine can come from the StarCraft world, cloth, foam and cardboard are just a few of the materials that people choose.

If you liked number 3 then make sure you check out the I want to be a Marine! article from August.

Nova and the Ghosts

A common theme in StarCraft cosplay is Nova, Ghosts and Ghost like NPC's seem to be a regular choice for the female costume wearer.

Pick `n` Mix

There are many more costumes which have at one time or another been seen at a party, convention or just in the bedroom and these are the Pick `n` Mix outfits that we picked out.

Hopefully in the coming months we will start to see more StarCraft cosplay and an even better variety of costumes.

Keybinding Customization and Blizzcon Highlights http://www.starcraftinfo.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=326#p326
Lylirra - Source - Changing Hotkey Set Up

Not to commit blasphemy by reviving an older topic, but I do have an update regarding some of the concerns and ideas expressed in this thread. For those of who are interested, once keybinding customization becomes available, you will be given the option to specify a separate hotkey for a supply depot's Raise and Lower abilities, as well as the Burrow and Unburrow abilities on several zerg units.

We're still looking into opening up bindings for the the mouse wheel (both the scroll and on-click functions), too, but don't have any further information to share about that option at this time.

Heart of the Swarm http://www.starcraftinfo.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=325#p325 There is very little going on today, not surprising given Blizzcon has just finished. However as there was some Heart of the Swarm information spread around the different panels we thought it a good idea to start creating a Heart of the Swarm section so it doesn't get lost.

StarCraft 2 Expansion - Heart of the Swarm

You can access the page at any time using the link on the right hand side of every page under the twitter button (Make sure you follow us on Twitter!). But for now you can just click Heart of the Swarm.

We'll do our best to track down any Heart of the Swarm news as it happens and keep you up-to-date.
